Is booking direct as safe as booking on a platform?
Yes. We are the licensed operator behind our SamBoat and Airbnb listings. You receive a written charter agreement, and your deposit is paid by card, so it is covered by your card issuer’s buyer protection.
Do I need a boat licence?
Not for the Fairline or the Cranchi — they always sail with our licensed captain. The Frauscher can be driven with a valid licence for its size, or booked with a skipper for €300 a day. Jet skis require a licence.
What is included in the price?
Each yacht page lists exactly what is included. On Cienfuegos that is the captain, water, soft drinks, ice, SUP, snorkelling gear and VAT; fuel is a fixed surcharge depending on your route.
What is in the drinks package?
White wine, rosé, beer and soft drinks, chilled on board — €25 per person. The tapas package (tapas, fresh fruit and snacks) is also €25 per person. Champagne and private catering on request.
How do I pay?
After we confirm your date you receive a secure payment link for a 30 % deposit (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay) or you pay by bank transfer. Prices are in euros; your bank converts if you pay with a US card.
Can I cancel?
Yes — cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure. If you cancel later, the 30 % deposit is kept. There is no security deposit on skippered yachts — only when you drive yourself (Frauscher €1,500, jet ski €500).
What happens if the weather is bad?
If the captain cancels for safety reasons, you choose a new date or get your deposit back in full.

Drive Mallorca is a small, owner-operated charter company based in Palma. We run our own yachts — the Fairline Targa 52 GT “Cienfuegos” and the Cranchi 41 “Extasea” from Naviera Balear, and the Frauscher 858 “Mare” from Port Adriano — plus our own Sea-Doo jet skis, and work with trusted partners for larger yachts and cars.
